Dominique Bircher is from Switzerland. She took her first flute lessons at the „Musikschule Region Thun“. She was taught by Marc Graf, Mathilde Leemann and Christie Stoll-Ogg. After graduating from the „Gymnasium Thun“ she spend a year studying in the preCollege class in Basel with Renate Lemmer. She is currently studying for her bachelor’s degree in Bern with Christian Studler and his assistant Johanna Schwarzl. Dominique was awarded the first price at the Swiss youth competition twice. In the year of 2017, she was asked to taken on the position of the first flute and piccolo in the youth orchestra of her hometown Thun named „Jugendsinfonieorchester Arabesque“. In addition to solo literature and orchestra pieces, she also plays a lot of French music with Florence Lauoénan on the harp.
